Overview
These terms apply to anyone approved to promote Shopify Scale as an affiliate. By participating, you agree to follow them. We may update them, and we may decline or end participation at our discretion, including for any breach below.
Commission
Approved affiliates earn a 10% commission on approved referrals. Whether a referral is approved, how it is attributed, and when and how commissions are paid are determined by the records and terms of the affiliate/checkout platform. We don't set separate attribution windows or payout dates here; those follow the platform.
Your creatives, your responsibility
Affiliates may create their own content and creatives. Because of that, you are responsible for making sure everything you publish complies with:
- TikTok's advertising and content rules;
- Meta's advertising rules;
- the U.S. FTC's endorsement and disclosure guidelines (and similar rules elsewhere) where applicable; and
- the consumer-protection and advertising laws that apply where your audience is.
Affiliates must
- Clearly disclose the affiliate relationship wherever required (for example, an #ad or paid-partnership label).
- Make accurate claims and describe the program truthfully, including price and refund terms.
- Follow the advertising and content policies of every platform you promote on.
- Respect copyrights and trademarks, and use only content you have the right to use.
- Use only your approved affiliate links and tracking.
Affiliates must not
- Guarantee income, or claim customers will get rich or achieve specific earnings without substantiation.
- Use fake testimonials, results, screenshots or reviews.
- Impersonate Shopify Scale, its team, or VersaLyze LLC.
- Imply affiliation with or endorsement by Shopify, TikTok or Meta.
- Spam, or send unsolicited mass DMs or messages.
- Use deceptive redirects, cloaking, malware or adware.
- Make false scarcity or urgency claims (fake countdowns, fake “spots left”).
- Use stolen content, or falsify or self-refer sales fraudulently.
- Misrepresent the price, what's included, or the refund terms.
Trademarks and independence
Shopify Scale is independent and not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Shopify, TikTok, or Meta. Do not use their logos or names in a way that suggests otherwise, and do not bid on or use branding you're not authorized to use.
Termination
We may pause or remove any affiliate and withhold commissions associated with fraudulent, deceptive, non-compliant or policy-breaking activity, to the extent permitted by the platform and applicable law.
